Somers: 'Golden Apple' Bike Tour

Description: About 800 cyclists from throughout the tri-state area are expected to participate in the event. The Golden Apple Tour will raise money for a charity to be determined by the Westchester Cycle Club during its annual meeting in December. For more information, click here.
Yorktown: Last Lions Summer Concert
When: Sunday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m.
Where: Jack Devito Memorial Park, Veterans Road, Yorktown

Description: The Yorktown Lions Club are presenting 45 RPM. The event is free and open to the public. Food will be served by the Yorktown Lions Club. As part of a food drive, residents are asked to bring an items which the Yorktown Lions Club can donate to local food banks. The band was voted Best Cover Band 2013 by the Long Island Press. Dobbs Ferry: Sing along with Raging Grannies

Why go: Raging Grannies WOWW are celebrating women this weekend with a special service and poetry reading. Everyone is welcome, as this church’s website says: "members and non-members, Christians and non-Christians, believers and doubters."

Why go: Farmers Market nutritionist Marina Stopler will be on-hand this week from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. this Saturday to take all about the nutrition involved in preserved and canned foods. Also on tap, country music duo David Kraai and Amy Laber will be performing from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
