Yorktown: Elks Outdoor Tag Sale

Where: 590 Waverly Road in Yorktown Heights

Description: Items to be sold include housewares, clothing, shoes, videos, books, lawn and garden items, handmade birdhouses, collectible dolls, toys, sports equipment, furniture and more. For more information call 914-473-5594.

Yorktown: Second Annual Car Show at Yorktown Grange

Where: Yorktown Grange Fairgrounds on Moseman Road, hosted by the Yorktown Grange Tractor Club

When: Sunday, June 23

Cost: Entry fees for exhibitors are $10 for pre-registered and $15 at the gate. Spectators will be admitted for $2 per carload, so bring your friends, bring the kids.

Description: There will be vehicles representing every category – antiques, classics, modern, muscle cars, and imports – all competing for prizes and awards. The Yorktown Grange Tractor Club will also have many of their vintage tractors on display. 

Yorktown: Second Annual Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Auto Show 

Where: Jack DeVito Memorial Park

When: Saturday, June 22 at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Cost: Free

Description: Various dealerships will be showcasing the latest trends and improvements in the automotive world, including environmentally green advances, and structural and aesthetic developments. There will be amusement rides, kids’ activities, face painting and food.

Yorktown: Summer Concert Series Kick Off  

Where: Jack DeVito Memorial Park

When: Sunday, June 23 starting at 5:15 p.m. 

Cost: Free

Description: Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace will preside over the opening ceremonies. Yorktown High School sophomore Catherine O'Donnell will sing the Star Spangled Banner and will be accompanied by the Yorktown Irish Pipes & Drums. The evening will feature The Glimmer Twins, a Rolling Stones Tribute Band, starting at 6 p.m. Yorktown Lions and Leos Clubs will be selling hot dogs, burgers and soft drinks. Yorktown: Antiques and Flea Market 

Where: Firemens Field Entrance between 257 and 271 Veterans Road

When: Sunday, June 23 at 8 a.m. 

Cost: Free

Description: There will be some new vendors and something for everyone. Organizers have also made sure there will be food too.

Carmel: Troop and Scout Appreciation Day 

Where: Camp Kiwi, 825 Union Valley Road, Carmel

When: Saturday, June 22 form 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Cost: Free

Description: Senator Greg Ball and Sheriff Donald Smith invite all scouts and their families from the 40th State Senate District to a free day of family fun at Camp Kiwi. There will be batting cages, petting zoo, basketball courts, volleyball, entertainment, miniature golf and a swimming pool.
