Don't Miss: Blind Dining Experience; Puppies and Wine

There are several ways to keep busy around Yorktown and Somers this weekend with these great events. 

Create Your Own Sundae

It's "create your own sundae" every Friday at JJ Scoophouse in Yorktown. Parents, you can enjoy free coffee while your children keep themselves occupied with choosing their own sundae flavors and toppings.

Lions and Puppies and Wine

The Somers Lions Club is inviting community members to a special evening of wine, live music, dancing and puppies. The evening provides people with a chance to learn about the Lions Club, its members and leadership, and its mission and work in the community. 

Members of the Yorktown's Guiding Eyes staff will be in attendance with actual puppies who are now in training to be service dogs. The event will be held on Friday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at The Pinnacle Restaurant, at the Somers Pointe Country Club. More details here.

A Blind Dining Experience

Enjoyr a five-course tasting menu plus gelato benefiting Yorktown's Guiding Eyes for the Blind on Sunday, Jan. 26 at Via Vanti! Restaurant & Gelateria in Mt. Kisco. Guests will be offered blindfolds to test just how discriminating their taste buds are with prizes awarded to the diners with the savviest palates. The cost is $75 per person. Seating is limited.
