Yorktown 'Comedy for a Cause,' Somers Veteran's Day Parade

Somers Veteran's Day Parade

The town of Somers will celebrate Veteran's Day with a parade and ceremony beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Somers Town Hall on Monday, Nov. 11. There will be a ceremony honoring all Veterans at 11 a.m. following by refreshments. The events are hosted by the Somers Veterans of Foreign War Post 8213. 

St. Patrick's School Open House


St. Patrick's School in Yorktown Heights is holding an Open House on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for parents interested in its Pre-K3, Pre-K4 and Kindergarten programs. For more information, please call 914-962-2211.

Nunsense, The Musical

The Winery at St. George in Mohegan Lake Presents Nunsense, The Musical. The last show is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13. Door opens at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Call for table reservations at (914) 455-4272.

"Nunsense is a musical comedy with a book, music, and lyrics by Dan Goggin. Originating as a line of greeting cards, Goggin expanded the concept into a cabaret that ran for 38 weeks, and eventually into a full-length musical. The original off-Broadway production opened December 12, 1985, running for 3,672 performances and becoming the second-longest-running Off- Broadway show in history."

Blood Drive at Fieldhome

Fieldhome and the American Red Cross are running a blood drive on Thursday,  Nov. 14 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fieldhome – Holy Comforter, 2300 Catherine Street, Cortlandt Manor. Walk-ins are welcome, but to avoid a wait, schedule an appointment with Lynn Tecchio at 914-739-2244 x5613. For more information on donating blood click here.

'Comedy for a Cause'

Support Connection's 'Comedy for a Cause' will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at Travelers Rest, 25 Saw Mill River Road (Route 100), Ossining. Proceeds will benefit Support Connection’s free breast and ovarian cancer support services and The Barbara E. Giordano Women’s Health & Education Foundation Annual Day of Healing and wellness programs.

Enjoy the “hysterically funny, original and animated” comedy of John Iavarone and “Crazy” Gene Trifilo. The cost is $50 which includes dinner, soft drinks, coffee and the show. Reservations are required. For more information call 914-962-6402 or email info@supportconnection.org.
