Yorktown Lions and American Legion Post to Hold Pasta Night Fundraiser

The second annual Pasta Night fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 in Yorktown. Reservations are required.

The Yorktown Lions Club, and the American Legion Post 1009 have partnered up for their second annual Pasta Night, a fundraiser which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29 in Yorktown. 

There are three seatings available – at 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Space is limited and reservations are required. All tickets are sold in advance and there will be no tickets sold at the door. To purchase tickets, call Maria Marks 914-962-9390 or email maria.yorktownlions@yahoo.com to make your reservation. 

Seatings and prices:

  • 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Adults $10; children 4-12 $6; under 4 $2;
  • 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Adults $13; Children (4 - 12) $8; Under 4 $2;
  • 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Adults $13; Children (4 - 12) $8; Under 4 $2;

The fundraiser will be held at the American Legion Hall, located at 235 Veterans Road in Yorktown.

The American Legion Post was chartered in Yorktown on May 1, 1931, and has been a continuing presence, aiding those in need in the Yorktown Community ever since. Please visitwww.nylegion1009.org for more information.

The Yorktown Lions Club was established in 1961, as part of the largest service organization in the world to provide humanitarian assistance to those in need. In the past 10 years, the Yorktown Lions Club has raised and donated more than $800,000 with over 80 percent of that money provided right here in the Yorktown Community.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
