Wanted: Upload Your Photos from Annual "Battle of Yorktown"

Residents pick up trash in celebration of Earth Day.

Armed with bright orange bags, residents took to the areas along town roadways, picking up litter as they volunteered for what the Yorktown Department of Environmental Conservation calls "The Battle of Yorktown."

Yorktown Boy Scout troop Troop 174 helped clean up around town on Saturday and camped overnight at the Yorktown Grange Fair ground to celebrate history, service and community.

People in a mini van on the taconic hurled their half eaten McDonalds lunch along with the wrappers, bags, soda containers. etc onto the Taconic right in front of me. I followed them while calling the Yorktown PD and troopers. I pulled up next to them and started calling them filthy animals who belong in a zoo. The police did nothing. Why bother?
