ZBA hearing on sober house adjourned to May
ZBA hearing on whether the proposed sober house meets the town's definition of a "convalescent home" was adjourned to May. The hearing on Competition Carting's permit request was also adjourned pending more information from the DEP and DEC.

Sober House Convalescent Home (Compass Westchester)
Lawyers on both sides of the issue made additional presentations to support their position whether or not the sober house is a convalescent home within the meaning of the zoning code. Because some of the comments referred to a ZBA member who was not at the meeting, the board adjourned the hearing so that the member could respond to the comments.
Competition Carting
Because of the lack of clarity as to what permits the applicant might need from the DEP and the DEC, the board directed the applicant to send letters to both agencies within seven days, with copies to the town engineer and the ZBA, asking specifically what information they needed to review any permit request/s so that at its May meeting, the board would have a better idea of what information was needed.
