1.  Filling Town Board vacancy
Supervisor Grace and Councilman Murphy said they wanted to move forward to appoint someone to fill the position until December 31, but Councilman Bianco and Patel said the vacancy should be filled by a special election. The town attorney stated that before a special election could be held, the board would first have to adopt a local law that would be subject to a mandatory referendum and that the election couldn’t be held until after the referendum was approved, something she said wasn’t practical given the available time. The board may revisit the appointment issue again next week.

2. Landmarks Preservation Commission
The discussion continued about hiring a consultant to do a survey of historic structures in the Heights area.

3. Clothing Bins
Supervisor Grace said the town needed to take action regarding the proliferation of unregulated clothing bins in parking lots throughout town.
