1. Jefferson Valley Mall
Set a public hearing on the amended site plan for October 15.

2. Ethics Board
Three items were discussed: an ethics training session for certain town employees and officials; the need for the Town Board to meet with the Ethics Board regarding two ongoing investigations and incomplete disclosure forms from two members; and the need to send reminder letters to people who haven’t submitted their annual disclosure form.

3. Building permit renewal fees.
The Board discussed how to deal with the doubled fee requirement when renewing expired building permits and how to apply the requirement to building permits that have been open for many years, sometimes without the owner’s knowledge.

4. Water meters
Due to a defect during the manufacturing process, it is possible that the registers in all 2,000 of the newly installed water meters could be defective. The supplier will assume the cost of fixing the problem.

5. Fluoride
Water Distribution Superintendent Rambo advised the Board that there was an issue over the installation of new fluoride equipment. No details were provided.

6. Towing bid
The Board rejected the two bids it received earlier this year and will go out to bid again with rewritten bid specs.

7. State Land (Route 202)
Set a public hearing on the request to rezone the 100 acre site from residential to commercial for October 15.

8. Foreclosures
There were disagreements among Board members about whether or not to schedule an auction to sell any of the properties on the 2008 foreclosure list that the town has taken title to. The list includes five houses and an unspecified number of vacant parcels.
