Town Board: Library renovation project moves forward

Town Board okays police overtime for Grange tractor parade; renovation of library's children's room moves forward; hearing set to landmark Route 132 house.

1. Grange tractor parade
The Board authorized four hours of overtime each for two police officers required by the Police Department for the parade.
 
2. Fees at Greenwood Street Recycling Facility (The Hill)
A local landscaper complained about the high cost of a permit for small commercial operators to dispose of landscape debris at the Hill.
 
3. Landmark status
The Board agreed to advertise a public hearing on landmarking the Galbraith House for August 6.
 
4. Library Children’s Room renovation
Library Director Pat Barresi advised the Board that the library has the money to proceed with the renovation project and that it is in the process of drawing up the specs.
 
5. Several resolutions were passed unanimously without any discussion.
