Town Board gets amended site plan for Winery

An amended site plan for the Winery will be advertised for a public hearing. Councilman Bianco and Supervisor Grace disagree over tax impact of commercial development in Lakeland district.

1. Appointments
Michael Caprio as a police officer
John Savoca, reappointed to a second five year term on the Planning Board
 
2. Courtesy of the Floor
Sparkle Lake. The current construction work is for a stormwater retrofit project.
 
Auction of town-owed property: No date has been set to auction off the five houses the town recently took title to in a foreclosure proceeding.
 
3. Baptist Church Road Culvert Project/Public Hearing
To move the road repair project forward, the Board voted to take, by eminent domain, two parcels for temporary easements, and one parcel for a permanent easement.
 
4. Winery
The applicant submitted an amended site plan that is the same as the site plan approved in 2011 as part of a special permit application. A public hearing will be advertised, but the date was not set.
 
5. School taxes
Councilman Bianco and Supervisor Grace disagreed over the tax impact of new commercial development in the Yorktown portion of the Lakeland School District.
