Town Board approves budget & okays State Land rezoning

Town Board adopted the Preliminary Budget without any changes to the tax rate and approved the rezoning of the southern 30 acres of the State Land parcel. The remaining 70 acres will remain undeveloped except for possible future extension of parkway

1. Special meeting
The Board scheduled a special meeting for 12:30pm, December 31, in the event there is any last minute business that needs to be attended to.  .
 
2. 2014 Budget
In a unanimous vote, the Board adopted the 2014 Preliminary Budget that was unchanged from the Preliminary Budget adopted on November 21 and the subject of a public hearing on December 10.
 
3. State Land rezoning
The Board voted unanimously to rezone the southern 30 acres of the site to C-1 and leave the northern 70 acres unchanged as R1-160, 4-acre residential with the understanding that the northern portion will remain undeveloped, except for the possible future extension of the Bear Mountain Parkway north of the commercial development..
 
4. Personnel
With regret, the Board acknowledged the retirement of long time tax receiver Elfriede Schmid
 
5. Yorktown Stage
The Board approved a 10 year lease with 3% rent increases every two years.
