Planning Board: CJ Diven Withdraws Navajo Fields Dome Plan

C.J. Diven withdrew the application to erect a dome at Navajo Fields when the Planning Board refused to approve the plan due to lack of compliance with prior permit. The Board reserved comment on dog park pending a site visit to Sylvan Glen.

1. Costco
Attorney Al Capellini advised the Board that the applicant has responded to all issues that arose at the DEIS hearing and that town staff is now reviewing the responses and additional reports.
 
2. Dog Park
The pros and cons of locating the dog park at Sylvan Glen were discussed. The Board will conduct a site visit on August 24.
 
3. Creative Living/.Navajo Fields
After a contentious discussion, and when it became clear that the Board would not be approving the dome site plan that evening, the applicant, C.J. Diven, announced he was withdrawing his application.
 
4. Lake Osceola Square (East Main Street)
A Public Informational Hearing for the proposed mixed use development will be held on September  9.
 
5. Nelson Residence/Change in Conservation Easement
The owners are seeking an amendment to two existing conservation easements in order to create more of a usable backyard.
