1. Tree Conservation Advisory Commission/grant application
The Board approved the request of the TCAC to submit a grant application for funds to erect temporary deer exclosure fences at Turkey Mountain to allow time for new seedlings to grow.

2. Arbor Day
The Board set April 26 for the Town’s Arbor Day celebration.

3. Bernstein House property
In response to some complaints about the content of the sign that has been placed on the Town’s right-of-way, the Board referred the sign to ABACA, the building and planning departments and the Planning Board.  The Board will revisit the issue at the February 26 meeting and invite public comments on the sign at its March meeting.

4. Creative Living/Navajo Fields
In a 4-0 vote, the Board approved an amended wetlands and excavation permit. The applicant has 60 days to submit a mitigation and sequencing plan. Supervisor Grace told the applicant the Town would not tolerate any delays in getting the required work done and he made it clear that the applicant could not change anything on the approved plan.

5. Proposed legislation on raising fowl
In a 3-1 vote, the Board referred out a draft amendment to the Zoning Code that would permit keeping 12 chickens and ducks on single family residential property regardless of the size of the zone.

6. Hurricane Sandy/Tree Removal
The Board rejected a request from a resident to be reimbursed for the cost of removing a tree that turned out to be in the Town’s right of way.
