Town Board OKs School District Use of Legacy Field

Athletic clubs will adjust their schedules to accommodate the YSD's temporary use of the Legacy multi-purpose field. The board also voted on the tile replacement for the Shrub Oak pool.

Town  Board
Special Meeting, April 25, 2012

For a more detailed discussion of the meeting, see www.ciyinfo.org

1. A special meeting was held with representatives of the Yorktown School District and private athletic clubs and members of the Recreation Commission to address a request from the Yorktown School District to use the multi-purpose field at the Legacy Fields from Aug. 19 through approximately mid-November while a new turf carpet is being installed at the high school field.

2. After the meeting broke up, and without any announcement that the Board would continue its meeting to discuss other issues, and most people had left the building, including the CIY observer, it was learned that the Town Board had a discussion but did not vote on a contract issue involving the replacement of tiles at the Shrub Oak pool.
