Special Town Board Meeting: Votes on 4 Financial Resolutions

During a special meeting, the Town Board okayed a $655,618 insurance coverage package and approved vacation buy outs for two employees and a $5,275 stipend for the deputy comptroller.

The Board took the following actions during an unadvertised special meeting. For more details, visit ciyinfo.org.
 
Open  Session

1.Waiver of notice
The Board voted unanimously to waive the notice of the special meeting. (After the meeting had been adjourned, a notice that the meeting was to take place was sent to subscribers of the Town Board email list.)
 
2. Insurance contract
Authorized the Supervisor to sign a package of 2013 insurance policies with Travelers at a cost of $655,618, or approximately $168,618 more than the 2012 cost.
 
After a closed session, the Board went back into open session and approved the following.
 
3. Buy outs
To allow two department heads to buy out 10 and 15 accumulated vacation days respectively.
 
4. Stipend for deputy comptroller
To grant Deputy Comptroller Patricia Caporale a stipend of $5,275 to cover the time she worked in the capacity of an acting comptroller.
 
The Board also announced that at the January 8, 2013 meeting, it intends to appoint Patricia Caporale to the position of Comptroller at a salary of $92,750.
