Planning Board: Costco Update, Recycling Facility, Soccer Field

Planning Board gets update on Costco DEIS, reviews possible recycling facility on Route 6, and discusses future use of Catherine St soccer field.

1. Costco update
The applicant continues to revise its DEIS submission.
 
2. Proposed recycling facility
The board reviewed several aspects of the proposed facility, including the types of recyclables it would receive, what machinery and/or processing might take place at the site, and issues related to outdoor storage, dust, noise and odor.
 
3. Fieldhome/Soccer field
Members of the Recreation Commission and Parks & Recreation Department discussed the intensity of usage at the site, what other improvements might be acceptable to the , and how to alleviate the parking problem along Catherine Street.
