NUTRITION AND HEALTHY COOKING TIPS FOR WOMEN WITH BREAST AND OVARIAN CANCER

Support Connection, Inc. announces a free educational program: “Whole Food Cooking Simplified” will be offered on Wed., April 23 from 7-8:30 pm at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 85 East Main Street, Mt. Kisco, NY 10549.
Open to people living with breast, ovarian and gynecological cancers.  To learn more or to pre-register (pre-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) call Support Connection at 914-962-6402 or 800-532-4290.

Join Board Certified Holistic Health Coaches Alyson Chugerman and Karen Rigney, as they guide you around the kitchen in this two hour workshop. Although participants will not actually be cooking, they will be given simple, fast, delicious recipes full of real, whole food and have the opportunity to taste some of the recipes.

Emphasis will be place on how to stock your kitchen for easy preparation, finding foods that give you energy and are in season, identifying plant-based protein dishes that create health and allow cutting back on animal-based foods. The discussion will also cover the healing energy that raw or vegan diets provide as well as the most common genetically modified food and non GMO alternatives.  A Q&A session will follow.
