Yorktown High School's JV Basketball team has captured the House of Sports JV Summer League Basketball Championship.

The team finished the regular season at 7-1. In the semifinal game against Peekskill, Yorktown won 33-31 on a Trevor Bocian game-winning 3-point shot at the buzzer to catapult the Huskers into the championship game against Good Counsel of Greenburgh.

In the finals, Yorktown played suffocating defense and hit timely shots as they pulled away in the second half winning 41-33. Coach Chris Caputi was proud of the team’s toughness and never-say-die attitude.
