Yorktown High School Students Win Prizes, Awards at International Science and Engineering Fair

Two Yorktown students win second and third place at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

Five students recently presented their science research projects at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in Pittsburgh, PA. Two of the students won second and third place awards.

The top 13 projects out of 320 projects at the Westchester Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF) had the chance to represent our region at the Fair. The Intel ISEF is the larger and more global of the two Intel sponsored events as it brings together 1,500 science fair winners from every state in the United States as well as students from 60 countries to compete for prizes and scholarships.

Over the course of a week, students presented their research and winners shared more than $3 million in awards during a May 18 ceremony.
