Yorktown Foundation for Excellence to Honor Six Staff Members at Fundraising Event

The annual event will be held on Saturday, March 10, at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown

The Foundation for Excellence in Yorktown Education will honor six teachers at its annual Spring Dinner Dance in March.

In an effort to recognize "character education," the Foundation, in conjunction with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ralph Napolitano and the six school principals, has chosen one representative from each building that they feel goes above and beyond their call of duty.

"These individuals are examples for our children," school officials said in an announcement. "They give of themselves and we are all better for it."
