Patch: How do you describe your experience in the Somers Central School District?

Virginia Fisher: There have been so many great experiences throughout my career in Somers, but what they all have in common is the joy and excitement I see in the students’ faces as they learn new things.

Patch: What will you miss the most?

Fisher: What I Will miss most about Somers are the many caring, talented and most professional people who always are concerned about the whole child. I have been so very fortunate to be part of this community.

Patch: What are you looking forward to in retirement?

FisherAs I look forward to retirement, I’m thinking about all the time I will have to spend doing things for myself that I truly never had enough time for. I plan on getting healthy by exercising, learning to cook in new ways, sewing and quilting, traveling and most importantly spend quality time with friends and family.

Patch:
How do you feel looking back on your career in Somers?

FisherWhen I look back at my career in Somers I feel so very honored to have met, taught, and worked with so many wonderful people.
