Register for Summer Camp Today

June 4, 2010 is the last day parents can register their children for the town's summer camp programs. 

"You can't beat the price compared to private camps," Town Supervisor Susan Siegel said.

Full Day Camp:

Yorktown- French Hill Elementary School. Camp runs June 29-July 30, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost of the program is designed for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade. The cost is $630.

Lakeland- Benjamin Franklin Elementary School. Camp runs June 29- July 30, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade. The price is $630, and sibling discount is available.

Half Day Camps:

Lakeland and Yorktown- Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Camp runs June 29-July 30, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon. It is designed for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade. The cost of the program is $330, and sibling discount is available.

Preschool Camp: Yorktown Community Nursery School. Camp runs Monday-Friday, 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. July 6-July 30 for four and five-year-old children. The cost of the program is $405 for the full session, or $210 for Session 1, and $225 for Session 2. Enrollment is limited to 70 campers.

Adventure Camp: Drop off and pick up is at the Lakeland Cooper Beech Middle School parking lot. The program runs Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from July 6-29, 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children who have completed grades 5th through 8th. The price for the full session is $705, or each individual session is $380. Admission fees and transportation to all event sites is included in the price.

Travel Camp: Drop off and pick up is at the Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School parking Lot. The program runs Monday through Friday, July 6-30, 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. for children who have completed 5th through 8th grade. The price is $990 for the full session, or $495 for Session 1, and $520 for Session 2.

Residents of the Lakeland or Yorktown School Districts who do not pay Town of Yorktown taxes, or live in the town, must show proof of residency in the school district.
