Photos: Lakeland/Panas Girls Lacrosse Team to Compete in State Semifinals on Friday

The team is making its second consecutive trip to the New York State Championships in upstate Cortland on Friday.

The Lakeland/Panas girls' lacrosse team will be in the NYS Class A Final Four beginning on Friday, June 10.

The team is making its second consecutive trip to the New York State Championships in upstate Cortland. They will play Northport High School (L.I.) in the State Semifinals Friday, June 10 at 2:30 p.m. at SUNY Cortland. The Northport girls lacrosse team recently defeated defending state champion Farmingdale 14-7. They defeated Lakeland/Panas in the 2010 championship game 6-5.

On June 4, the Rebels defeated Niskayuna High School (Section 2) 12-11 in the Regional Final at Fox Lane High School. The Rebels trailed by three goals, 11-8, with 12:26 left in the game. The team won the Section Championship over Suffern by the score of 14-12.

The Rebels have won five consecutive Section Championships.
