Local Business Hosts School Supplies Drive to Benefit 'Neighbor’s Link'

With the price of school supplies continuing to rise, local businesses in Westchester have partnered to host a community-wide "School Supplies Drive."

School supplies will be accepted until Aug. 14 at participating locations for the benefit of “Neighbors Link.”

Residents are encouraged to drop-off supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons, rulers, glue sticks, erasers, composition notebooks, 3-ring binders and loose leaf paper. Donations of backpacks are also appreciated.

Dr. Robert Reiss in Yorktown will also be accepting supplies at his office, located at 40 Triangle Center, Suite 215, Yorktown Heights.

“When it comes to helping children, no donation is too small," said Brian Mittman, of the event organizing firm Managing Partner of Markhoff & Mittman. "We encourage everyone to pick up a few items while at the store and bring them to an official drop- off location for the drive. We are a community which supports one another, and this is an excellent way to help local children build their self-esteem and confidence and achieve success."
