Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School is hosting Alex's Lemonade Stand on June 7 to fight childhood cancer.

Students and faculty will be selling lemonade on Friday, June 7 from 11:25 a.m. to 1:28 p.m. during their lunch periods.

"The event helps students understand that children are bravely battling cancer each day throughout the world," school district officials wrote on their website. "They are hoping to reach their goal of $1,000 for childhood cancer research."
