Lakeland JV Field Hockey Team Raises $2,500 for Breast Cancer

Lakeland junior varsity field hockey team raised more than $2,400 for breast cancer.

As part of October's breast cancer awareness month activities, students in the Lakeland School District have been putting their efforts together to raise money for breast cancer.

Last week, the Lakeland junior varsity field hockey team played against the Panas High School team (as pictured here) wearing pink apparel. The Lakeland team has raised more than $2,400 through donations and money raised at bake sales. All donations were made to the Susan B. Komen foundation.

The and held their second annual Dig Pink last week. The volleyball teams sold t-shirts and accepted donations at the door.
