Medication Safety:  Understanding Your Meds Led by Andrea Elam, Community Health Educator. NYC Poison Control Center This 45-minute workshop will teach you how to read and understand labels of prescription and non-prescription medicines, how to identify active ingredients and avoid potential overdose or drug interactions.  We will also teach you how to safely store, keep track of and dispose of medications.  The workshop includes, a guidebook for you to keep, free pill boxes, medicine logs, reading magnifiers, pens and refrigerator magnets wwith the NYC Poison Control Center’s hotline number.
