Local Artisans to Showcase Skills at Hilltop Hanover Farm

On Sunday, May 20, will host Reskill Westchester. The event will feature local artisans showcasing homesteading and lost skills such as knitting, sewing, preserving, growing vegetables, beekeeping and so much more.  

 is looking for artisans to demonstrate their skills, home crafters of sustainable products, and for food artisans wishing to sell in our farm and craft fair, if you are interested email for full details.  

It will also be the day the Farm opens the new Westchester Land Trust Quest at the Farm.

, a Girl Scout Gold Award Nominee recently completed a project to design, print and distribute a brand-new brochure for the Farm. Read more about Shilpa's project and comment on her efforts .

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
