Mr. and Mrs. Grace will acknowledge and commend the students in grades 6, 7, and 8 "whose acts of kindness and responsibility have had a positive influence or impact on the lives of others in our school and our community."

In addition, five eight grade students will each receive $1,000 United States Savings Bond Commencement Scholarship provided by the F. Cecil Grace Foundation.

The winners were selected anonymously by a committee of the Mildred E. Strang Middle School Student Council Leaders for having demonstrated selflessness and commitments to personal values, qualities that a positive role model possesses.

The student recognition ceremony will take place during the "Operation Positive Role Model" banquet held at the Colonial Terrace in Cortlandt Manor.
