Deborah Brand Appointed as One of Two Assistant Principals at Yorktown High School

Yorktown School Board of Education have appointed Deborah M. Brand as Assistant Principal of Yorktown High School. 
The Yorktown Central School District has appointed two assistant principals at Yorktown High School – John Gollisz and Deborah Brand.

Brand has served as Instructional Leader of Humanities, English Department Chair and Professional Development Team Co-Chair at the Middletown and Clarkstown High School North Schools, as English teacher at various high schools, and head girls basketball coach for three districts.

"We are pleased to welcome Ms. Brand to the Yorktown Schools, and believe that her skills and experience in developing and supervising teams of teachers, in using technology and managing data with students and staff will be a tremendous asset to us," Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ralph Napolitano said. "Ms. Brand comes highly recommended as a teacher leader."

Yorktown High School Principal Joseph DeGennaro has Brand’s familiarity with many of the school's programs and processes will enable her to hit the ground running.  

"Her experience in supervision, professional development, evaluation, literacy and technology will be a tremendous asset to our school and district, he said. "We look forward to welcoming her to Yorktown High School.”
