Carbone, Corrado Reelected as President, Vice President of Yorktown School Board

Two board members take their oaths of office, president and vice president reinstated unanimously.

The Yorktown board of education re-elected Jackie Carbone as its president and re-elected Karen Corrado as vice president at the group's annual re-organizational meeting held on Monday.

The meeting began with administering the oath of office to  as members of the board of education and to Dr. Ralph Napolitano as Superintendent of Schools. 

Carbone has lived in Yorktown since 1989. She has been on the Yorktown board of education since 2006 and has served as board president since the 2007-2008 school year.

 in 2011 to fill the vacated seat by , who resigned after serving on the board for almost six years. She has lived in Yorktown for approximately 15 years. Montero is a school principal in the Yonkers city school district.

The board also approved the following appointments for the 2012-2013 school year: Rebecca Narvaez was re-appointed as district clerk, Kevin Liebertz re-appointed as district treasurer, and Joanne Odoardi was re-appointed as deputy treasurer.
