Readers' Choice: What Restaurant Would You Choose If Someone Else is Paying?

Where would you go for a meal if you didn’t have to worry about the bill?

Isn't it nice when you can enjoy a three-course meal and a few glasses of fine wine without concern over the bill? And isn’t it even nicer if you get to choose the place to do it?

Those opportunities come only once and a while for most of us and we usually are along for the ride and not the one picking the restaurant. But what if you could?

Where would you go for a meal if you didn't have to worry about the bill? Take our poll and tell us in the comments if your favorite place is missing. Also, please click on the links below and leave a review to tell us why you are voting for this place.

(Psst...Mothers and Father’s Days are not too far away, maybe you can inform your child of your vote and make it happen!)

Vote in our poll too!

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

Because the poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Read our Readers' Choice rules by clicking on the PDF attached to this article. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

The Himalayan place is in the Triangle. And while I am sure it is good, I wouldn't choose it because I think that the question here is what expensive restaurant would you go to if someone else was paying.

Zeph's is also a good choice, since I am guessing this poll is supposed to include Peekskill/Cortlandt as well. Actually, Valley and Tavern in Garrison could also be added to the list.

Augie's Prime Cut has the most delicious steak and seafood. The service is excellent! I go there any time I can.....even if I'm paying the bill!

Thanks for recommending places close to home. I usually venture out but I'll give them a try.

I'm guessing that restaurants that stuffed the ballot box did not get disqualified, since I don't see how two places got over 500 votes when other towns had less than a hundred total.
