60 Minutes did a piece this past Sunday entitled the Toxic Effects of Sugar. Americans consume on average 130 pounds of sugar per year. Some researchers are proposing that this sugar consumption can lead to cancer and heart disease.
While I advise people to eliminate sugar from their diet, it is not realistic for most. So plan to absolutely minimize the amount of sugar you consume. Save it for that weekly treat to yourself for eating right throughout the week.
