Walden Talent Show Brings Down the House

Dozens of students took to the stage Friday at the Walden School’s foot-stomping, crowd-cheering Talent Show, showcasing singing, dancing and musical ability to the delight of their teachers, families and friends.

The annual show, which attracted a standing-room-only crowd to the Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES campus, featured performances by students in 14 classes at Walden School, ranging from classic songs like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” to pop favorites like “Firework” by Adele.

Anthony Ciffone from Mrs. Borst’s class played “Pop Goes the Weasel” on a keyboard. Kimi Bogen danced to the ever-popular “Call Me Maybe,” while Evan Wolfsdorf brought down the house with his spirited version of “Gangham Style.” Throughout the performance, audience members danced in the aisles, took photos and videos and cheered wildly.

The artwork for the show’s program said “We all have talent” and that seemed to sum up the message for the day.
