Yorktown Democratic Committee: Public Wants 'A Change in Leadership'

Yorktown Democratic Committee members are claiming a "strong Primary victory" after the final Primary Election results were released.

Yorktown Councilman Nick Bianco, a Democratic Party-endorsed Yorktown Supervisor candidate, has secured the Conservative and Independence Party lines.

"I couldn't be more honored by this resounding demonstration of support," Bianco said in a statement. "Across the board, the voters of Yorktown have made it plain: they want someone who will bring back the sense of community and being able to work together for the common good."

The rest of the Democratic Committee-endorsed candidates include incumbent councilman Vishnu Patel, former town board candidate Rich Campanaro for councilmen and Tom Diana for Yorktown Highway Supervisor. They've also secured the Independence Party line.

"People want a change," Patel said.

"It's clear that people want a town board that represents all of us, and that can work together to get things done," Campanaro said.
