Ball Hosts First Responders/Veterans Appreciation BBQ [PHOTOS]

The area's bravest enjoy a day at Camp Kiwi in Carmel.

Camp Kiwi in Carmel was taken over by some rather big kids Saturday when New York State Senator Greg Ball (R,C - Patterson) hosted a barbecue for America's Bravest.

Camp owner Ivan Bellotto of Mahopac donated the use of the facility and area restaurants provided food for local police, firefighters, EMS workers, veterans and their families.

Swimming, boating and socializing were among the activities and the Westchester County Police Aviation Unit's helicopter did a flyover, circling the event several times.

I guess I missed the notices about it being open to veterans - I would have taken my dad up there. It looks like it was a great event.

Senator Photo Op is absolutely shameless when it comes to pandering for votes.

Bravo! I've started seeing Ball signs on the roadside down in Hawthorne, where I guess his district now extends to. Amusingly, one side says something about creating jobs, which I did not think he had accomplished at any point during his multiple terms in office.
