Yorktown Police: Putnam Valley Man, 21, Steals Items from Sears

A 21-year-old Putnam Valley man resident has been arrested for stealing merchandise from Sears, Yorktown police said. 

Jeremy Whalen was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Police allege Whalen had taken items, valued at $74.99, and attempted to exit the store without paying. 

Whalen was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later released without bail and scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 20.
