Update: Yorktown Police Locate Missing Peekskill Man

Robert Jeter was found at his home suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

Update, 10:25 p.m.:

The 26-year-old Peekskill man has been found at his home where he was suffering from non-life threatening injuries, Yorktown police said.

Jeter was being treated for his injuries at a local hospital and was expected to be released. Police did not say what kind of injuries the man sustained.

The incident was not a random act, police said and they are continuing the investigation along with police officers from the Peekskill Police Department.

Original article:

Yorktown police suspect foul play in the possible disappearance of a Peekskill man, who may have been abducted earlier today in Jefferson Valley.

Robert Jeter had called his sister Wednesday, telling her that he was being followed by two individuals in the parking lot of the Jefferson Valley Mall, police said. The Peekskill woman then called police around 3:10 p.m. saying she feared for her brother's safety.

The woman also told police Jeter had been receiving threatening text messages for about a week prior to his disappearance.

Police went to the Jefferson Valley Mall and located Robert Jeter's vehicle, which was unoccupied and parked in a truck loading dock. The location and condition of the man's vehicle had indications of foul play, police said.

The Yorktown police are considering this case as an abduction and ask that anyone who was in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. who may have seen something or has any information on Robert Jeter's whereabouts to call the department at 914-962-4141.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
