Yorktown Man, 60, Arrested for Hosting Underage Drinking Party on New Year's Eve

A 60-year-old Yorktown Heights man faces a misdemeanor charge for hosting a New Year's Eve party where a group of people under age 21 were present, Yorktown police said.   

Paul Nurik was charged with second-degree criminal nuisance, a misdemeanor. 

Police received the report about the underage drinking party at Nurik's Glen Rock Street residence on Dec. 31.

Investigation revealed the man created a condition, "which endangers the safety or health of a considerable number of persons" by having approximately 15 persons under 21 to be inside his home while multiple full and empty containers of alcoholic beverages, police said.

The man was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 12.
