Yorktown Man, 26, Charged with DWI

A 26-year-old Yorktown man, whose vehicle was stopped for failing to maintain its traffic lane on Route 202, is facing a drunken driving charge, police said.

Following a traffic stop, police revealed the man was driving while intoxicated. When he submitted a breath test, it indicated his blood alcohol level was more than 0.08 percent, Yorktown police said.

The man was arrested on Oct. 4 at around 1:45 a.m. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more, both misdemeanors; as well as failure to maintain lane, a traffic violation.

He was released to a third party and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Nov. 7.
