Yorktown Man, 26, Charged with Beating Man Outside Finnegan’s

The victim had to be taken to the Hudson Valley Hospital Center for sustaining multiple injuries. The investigation is ongoing and further arrest are expected, police said.

A 26-year-old Yorktown man was arrested last week for the beating of a 26-year-old Putnam Valley man, Yorktown police said. 

Police said Robert Chirurgi, along with other people, were in front of Finnegan’s Bar and Grill on Sept. 9, 2012 when he assaulted the man. The victim had to be taken to the Hudson Valley Hospital Center for sustaining multiple injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and further arrest are expected, police said.

Chirurgi was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Police

Chirurgi was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. He was scheduled to return to Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 21.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
