A 21-year-old Yorktown Heights man is facing a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving following a recent arrest in Southeast.
State troopers from the Southeast barracks made the arrest on Route 6 in town at about 1:40 a.m. Friday, July 26. They stopped the defendant, who was behind the wheel of a 2002 Honda Accorda, after observing him drive over hazardous markings on the roadway, authorities say.
The defendant was charged with driving while intoxicated. His blood-alcohol level was reportedly 0.08 percent, the legal limit. He is set to appear in Southeast Justice Court Aug. 8.
