Yorktown Fireman's Parade & Carnival is Wednesday, Roads Closed

From the Yorktown Police Department--

Chief Daniel McMahon of the Yorktown Police Department advises motorists that on June 25, 2014 at 7:00PM the Yorktown Heights Engine Company # 1 will be having their Annual Parade. The parade will begin on Moseman Avenue by St. Patricks Church to Hanover   Road. They will turn north on Hanover Road to Underhill Avenue, following Underhill Avenue north onto Commerce Street. They will follow Commerce Street to Veterans Road and the parade will end at the Fire Department Fairgrounds.

To provide for the safety of parade participants and spectators the following roadways will be closed from approximately 6:45PM until the conclusion of the parade.

1 –   Underhill Avenue between Hanover Street and Route 118

2 –   Commerce Street between Route 202/35 and Underhill Avenue

4 –   Kear Street at Underhill   Avenue

5 –   Downing Drive at Commerce   Street

6 –   Hanover Road between Moseman Avenue and Commerce Street

7 –   Front Street at Underhill   Avenue

8 – Richard, Church, & Harwood Place at Hanover Road

The Yorktown Heights Engine Company #1 Annual Parade and Carnival is Wednesday June 25 at 7PM. The town carnival will start immediately after the parade on June 25 and run through June 29. Enjoy this family event filled with rides, games and plenty of food!
