Yorktown Cops: Peekskill Woman Steals 2 Shirts from Sears

A 63-year-old Peekskill woman has been arrested for stealing two shirts from Sears in Yorktown, police said. 

Police said the woman concealed the two shirts, which were valued at $53, in her handbag and exited the store without paying for the items. The theft occurred on Dec. 5 and was reported by Sears personnel. 

The woman was arrested, transported to police headquarters and later released.

She was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 2, 2014.
