A 33-year-old Carmel man is due in court in January to answer criminal charges that he stole a flashlight from Sears, Yorktown police said.
Police received the shoplifting report on Dec. 7 at 12:45 p.m. The man had taken a Mini Maglight Pro flashlight, valued at $29.99, and exited the store without paying for it. He was later arrested by police and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor.
He was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Jan. 7, 2014.
