A 34-year-old Mahopac man is due in court next month to answer charges that he was found in possession of a small amount of cocaine in the parking lot of the Jefferson Valley Mall, Yorktown police said.
Police said the man's "suspicious vehicle" was seen in the parking lot of the mall on Jan. 4 at around 1:31 a.m. He was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
The man was processed at police headquarters and released. He was scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 6.
