Yorktown Cops: Katonah Woman Arrested for DWI, Marijuana Possession and Speeding

A 22-year-old Katonah woman, whose vehicle was stopped for speeding, is facing drunken driving and possession of marijuana charges, Yorktown police said. 

Police said the woman's vehicle was stopped on Greenwood Street for speeding on Aug. 30 at around 2:30 a.m. Investigation revealed the woman was driving while intoxicated and had a blood alcohol level content of more than 0.18 percent. In addition, she was found to be in possession of marijuana. 

She was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, both misdemeanors. She was also charged with speeding, a traffic infraction and possession of marijuana, a violation. 

The woman was released to a family friend and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Oct. 1.
