Woman Screams at, Pushes, Pokes Yorktown Police Officer After Colliding with His Vehicle

A 57-year-old Ossining woman is facing several criminal charges in Yorktown for screaming at, pushing and poking a Yorktown police officer after colliding with his vehicle, police said.

The woman collided with the marked Yorktown police car, which was being used along with flares to notify drivers that the roadway was closed due to a fallen tree.

Police said the woman began to scream at, push and poke the police officer when he attempted to see if the woman was injured. The woman was arrested by another police officer and it was revealed she was in possession of narcotic pain pills, for which she could not produce a prescription.

She was charged with obstructing governmental administration and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.

The woman was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Aug. 20.
