Woman, Fails to Appear in Court, Gets Sentences to 6 Months in Jail

A 42-year-old Yonkers woman has been sentenced to six months in the Westchester County Jail after she failed to appear in Yorktown Town Court in reference to a theft, Yorktown police said.

Madeline Lucre was arrested on a bench warrant on Nov. 5 after she failed to appear in court for a scheduled court appearance on Sept. 6 to answer a petty larceny charge.

Lucre was processed at police headquarters and transported to Yorktown Town. Town justice Gary Raniolo sentenced the woman to six months in the Westchester County Jail, police said.
